Chris is Head of Development and Commercial Strategy at Steel Mill Pictures and his duties include advising across all of Steel Mill’s varied slate of projects. Chris also works more heavily on specific projects, which include producing Grass (Focus Features) alongside Ken Marshall and co-producing Song for Marion (eOne UK, eOne International, The Weinstein Company).
Outside of Steel Mill, Chris is producing a slate of six low budget genre films with Scott Free London under the Ridley Scott Presents Banner. The first of these is due to go into production late 2013. Chris also works as Head of Media Ventures for Orchard Capital Partners LLP, sourcing opportunities for investment within the media sector.
Chris is also producing his original concept In the Line of Fur with Scott Free London and in development with Universal Pictures International. He is also writing an experimental digital storytelling concept for Scott Free London and Google. He has recently worked as Development/Commerciality Consultant for Rainy Day Films on Panda Eyes (Fox Searchlight/Fox International Productions) currently in post-production, as well as a number of Rainy Days forthcoming development projects.
In Summer 2011 Chris delivered Scott Free London’s UK theatrical release of Ridley Scott’s YouTube documentary Life in a Day. At this time he also worked as a consultant for Goldcrest, Scott Free London, and Warp, amongst others.
Prior to 2011, Chris spent 8 years in various Hollywood Studio roles, including director of international distribution for Focus Features and theatrical analyst for 20th Century Fox UK.
