The televising of the trial of Adolf Eichmann, one of the key architects of the Holocaust was described as the trial of the century; and shown in over 37 countries. The new BBC2 90 minute film is set in Jerusalem, 1961, where ground-breaking TV producer Milton Fruchtman (Martin Freeman) hires director Leo Hurwitz (Anthony LaPaglia), the pioneer of multi camera studio broadcasting, to film the trial. After convincing the court judges to grant them permission, they work together under intense pressure to rebuild the courtroom with specially concealed cameras. The resulting footage would have a profound and sensational effect, resulting in more and more Holocaust survivors coming forward to share their shocking stories.
